Curtiss's June Bug Flight

The June Bug, designed by Glenn H. Curtiss and built by the Aerial Experiment Assocation, is here shown flying in Hammondsport, York, with Curtiss at the helm. The flight won him the Scientific American Trophy, which was the first aeronautical prize ever awarded in the United States.
