Carte-de-visite

Date:
1865-1865

Vignette of Federal officer. ID'd on the back as being George I Ward '65. There were two George Wards in the Union Army, but neither fit the middle initial. The image shows little of the coat, but the coat has a black velvet collar and the coat also seems to be double breasted which would suggest that this man is at least a Major. Image by Henry Ulke of Washington D. C.
