Reports out of London point to recognition being likely. Another report explains that McClellan's Anaconda plan is having trouble because of poor roads. Another article on the French views of the impending war between England and the Federal Government. Two articles on runaway slaves, one describes a male slave as being unmarked except on his back where he has been whipped. The other article about a runaway slave is about a boy who had murdered his overseer. A reward of $250 is offered for the capture of this boy.

And also on the back is "17 Yrs Old" The Fourth Massachusetts was a militia unit which enlisted three separate times between 1862 and 1863.
