Speech from Jefferson Davis on Slavery in the Western Territory, addressed to George Sikes a member of the House of Representatives. Within the envelope is a 32pp. printed speech that Mississippi Senator gave. Excerpt: "From every corner of this broad Union come daily evidences of the gathering storm which threatens to break upon us... when the honorable Senator from Kentucky (Mr. Clay) introduced the resolutions now under discussion I though it my duty to present my views..."
