An American Empire armoire. The primary wood is mahogany, and the secondary woods are cypress and poplar. The front two feet are carved as animal paws. There are brass hinges on the doors. The two side closets bear the original knobs inside.

Sideboard

Date:
ca. 1890-ca. 1900

Mahogany sideboard, with ionic full columns which end in lion's paw feet. Five dove-tailed drawer construction. Replacement repousse ormolu rosettes with brass ring pulls on second drawer. The top three drawers have had their original knobs replaced with locks. Original pulls were either mahogany or glass. Rear feet are ball shaped bun feet.

Southern mahogany bureau bookcase

Southern mahogany bureau bookcase, possibly made in Columbia, South Carolina. Circa 1830-1840. Peaked cornice with pierced cloverleaf over case with pair of glazed doors over drawers, on lower part with hinged and sloped writing surface and three long drawers, raised on shaped bracket feet. Belonged to the Guignard Family of Columbia, South Carolina.
