Fashion plate titled "Evening Promenade Dress in May 1809." Plate depicts woman wearing evening dress having short, puffed sleeves and empire waistline, with a blue bodice and overskirt over a white skirt with blue embellishments at the hem. Figure wears elbow-length white gloves, a blue and white hat, white stockings, and blue slippers, and picks a flower from a flowerpot on a stand. Notation at foot of print reads "Printed for the 45 Number of La Belle Assemblee. Published by John Bell June 1, 1809." Cardboard backing with pencilled notation reads "Mrs. L. Ashburner - W10854." England
