Content Description: 

American forces during the Revolutionary War used a variety of muskets, making use of what was available. This piece, which is fitted to mount a bayonet, may have been used by Job Wilbur. The Wilbur family moved from eastern Dutchess County, New York to this area during the war; the musket remained in their possession until the 1930s.
