Man's three-piece suit of russet-colored wool broadcloth, comprising coat (a) breeches (b), and waistcoat (c), all with linen linings and gilt-metal or brass buttons. Coat has a small standing collar, silk facings, nine peaked metal buttons and three open buttonholes (the second, fourth, and fifth). Additional buttons on cuffs, pockets, and skirts. Breeches have a half-fall front with a pocket on either side, closed with silver-toned buttons, and a watch pocket on the proper right side. There are eyelets on either side of the back of the waistband for a laced closure and buttons at the knees, secured through a strip of chamois for reinforcement. Collarless waistcoat with short skirts is of broadcloth on all sides, with silk facings. See "relations."
