Chair, Folding English, George III, Walnut and Fir Folding Traveling Bishop’s Chair, c. 1750-1770. with shaped and carved crest, pierced and carved interlacing splat, leather arms, slip seat above straight legs joined by stretchers. Leather seat. This chair is very rare. It is a good example of a traveling chair that a Bishop would take with him when visiting different Parishes.
