Content Description: 

Flag, Confederate Cavalry. Cavalry Guidon/Flag of the St. John's Rangers, a Confederate cavalry unit from Florida. Unique pattern, fork-tailed. Guidon is all silk with a field of rose red color composed of 13 red strips of cloth. Thirteen white stars are arranged in the center in a triangular pattern. A white border and a reddish-brownish golden silk fringe is present around the edge, except on the hoist side. 3 sets of ties on the hoist side, along with white silk ribbons at the two corners, designed to attach guidon to a staff.
