Content Description: 

Flag, Confederate. Battle Flag. St. Andrew's Cross pattern, square format. Red field (wool bunting). Blue cross (wool bunting). White edging. 13 (5 missing) white 5-pointed stars, (cotton muslin). White border (many sections missing) on four sides. Blue heading (wool bunting) forms a casing. No unit designation. Flag pattern is Confederate Military Department of South Carolina, GA, and Florida, infantry size Charleston Depot issue. Fabric is very dark and very heavily damaged. Flag appears to have been cut or torn into three sections and crudely sewn back together.
