Silver cream pitcher by William G. Forbes, New York, in oval form, the body having chased zig-zag border above convex band with chased intertwined swags around bright-cut cornucopia reserve enclosing monogram "BMH," reverse with date "1780." Stands on spreading rim foot. Underside bears maker's mark of "Forbes" in rectangle, with an eagle's head and the letter "C." See "relations."
