Gown, Evening; Petticoat, Woman's. A: Inaugural ball gown of Mary Call Collins at the 1957 Inauguration of her husband, Gov. Leroy Collins. Gown is of beige satin with brown lace trim hand-appliquéd on bust and down waist and both sides of back of skirt. Lace pattern is of flowers and leaves. Sleeveless with 2" shoulder straps. Bodice folds over at front top. Full skirt has deep back pleats and a slight train. Zipper back. B: Ivory Petticoat of acetate and net machine-sewn in 12 panels.
