Content Description: 

Framed Carpet Samples Two sections of rug front two different time periods. Left side is unused sample of carpet, red with salmon colored designs woven in. Right side is used sample of same carpet after 46 years of service, dark red gray. Inside gold colored wooden fram with glass faceplate. Frame corners have leaf designs. Inside glass with samples is lable. Two eyes on frame back with cable wound through. INSCRIPTION On frame back: 'Morris Anderson Sept. 1941' Inside frame with samples: 'CARPET used in PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, Hannibal from September 15, 1895 to September 15-1941. LEFT-Original Color Right-After 46 years service. NOTE-it was in use when Mark Twain spoke in this church in May 1902
