Content Description: 

Sword. Officer's presentation sword, presented to Maj. Gen. W. W. Loring by the Khedive of Egypt. Clam shell shaped counter guard, eagle on one side, trophies on reverse. Gold-plated along with D-shaped knuckle bow. Eagle on side on cap shaped pommel. Silver-colored wire texture solid metal handgrip. Thin, relatively short, double-edged blade has yellow background with etched floral and trophy designs on both sides. Thin scabbard with 3 carry rings. Two gold-plated stars attached to scabbard. Reverse of scabbard drag has a single star.
