A silk golden-colored wedding gown having separate caps for the top of the sleeves (a pair of sashes), the collar, the belt, and the shawl. The dress has been dated 1825.
There are some tears in the silk, and many other places are weakened. The dress was worn at the wedding of Modeste Braud to Trasimond Landry. According to the donor: Trasimond Landry was the first elected Lieutenant-Governor of Louisiana.
