Content Description: 

This is a post war letter from former General Fitz Hugh Lee in which he writes about procuring the money for a Confederate veteran to get an artificial leg. Fitz Hugh Lee was at the end of the war the commander of the Confederate Cavalry. In the letter he credits $75.00 to T.W. Colley of Emory, Virginia. He will take it out of the $20,000 that Virginia has set aside for funding artificial limbs for veterans. Leader of cavalry of Northern Virginia and was the nephew of Robert E. Lee.
