A broom press used by Louisiana folk artist Bill Tippit. It is solid wood with iron parts, all painted green. Process for using the machine:Insert straw wrapped around a wooden pole, pull the lever and it compresses the straw into a usable broom shape. A broom made by folk artist Bill Tippit is currently in the press.
