Gown, Academic. Belonged to May Mann Jennings. Black gown trimmed around the neck and down both sides of front opening with purple velvet. Has long full sleeves tapered at bottom. Back of shoulders and their backs have multiple gathers. Back of neck and over each shoulder front are three pleats. Gown back is gathered onto a yoke. Two 1" wide and 48" long black grosgrain ribbons attached to the inside yoke to tie the gown on. Three purple velvet bands on each sleeve.
