Content Description: 

French Croix de Guerre with bronze star. The medal and the star attached to the ribbon appear to be bronze. The ribbon has a rectangular shape that tapers and is attached to the medal by a jump ring. Front - The ribbon is green with seven evenly spaced red vertical stripes. There is a small metal star 1.1 cm long and 1.1 cm wide attached to the center of the ribbon. The medal is a cross with a small round emblem in the center, measuring 1.5 cm in diameter with REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE in raised lettering on the upper edge, a woman's bust in the center, and laurel branches on the lower edge. Two swords cross behind the emblem. Back - The ribbon is folded over with two pins passing through a fold and extending downward 4 cm on the left and 3.9 cm on the right. There is a small round emblem in the center of the cross with raised lettering. The lettering is in the center of the emblem with 1914 positioned above 1918.
