Content Description: 

Saber. Confederate-made Cavalry Saber, Model 1840 design. Brass branched handguard; handgrip is wood, wrapped with rawhide leather (coming off) and wrapped with iron wire. Brass cap pommel. Curved blade with shallow fuller. Fuller is unstopped at ricasso area. Scabbard is iron with brass mounts for carrying rings. Back of scabbard has a crudely made seam.
