Sword. Model 1850 foot officer's sword. Appears to be Confederate made. Cast brass pierced with floral design on handguard. Black leather over spiral indented wood grip. Brass cap pommel with leaf pattern down side. Steel blade has shallow, unstopped fuller. No scabbard. [Scabbard that is displayed with this sword in the Historic Capitol is not actually related to object.]
