The Memphis Daily Appeal printed at Montgomery Alabama, October 23, 1864. Articles includes a "Report on Yankee Account of Forrest's Exploits at East Point, which concludes that the infamous cavalry officer inflicted more damage than previously believed." Also, a funeral oration for the late Bishop General Leonidas Polk who died from wounds received by a Federal artillery shell. This paper was printed in Montgomery Alabama, as at the time of its printing Western Tennessee was in Union Hands.
