Flag, Confederate. Battle flag, probably used by the 9th Florida Infantry Regiment (formerly 6th Florida Battalion). St. Andrew's Cross pattern, square format. Red field, (wool bunting). Blue Cross (wool bunting). White edging. Thirteen (one missing) white 5-pointed stars (cotton muslin). White border on 3 sides (wool bunting). White heading which forms a sleeve (wool bunting). Right center field is inscribed: OCEAN/POND. The flag pattern is of the Confederate Military Department of South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida,"cavalry" size. Charleston Depot issue.
