Content Description: 

Painting. Portrait. Official State portrait of Governor Kenneth Hood "Buddy" MacKay of Florida. Very plain drapery background (by request). Subject is shown 3/4 length & sitting 3/4 from viewer with head turned almost full front. He wears a dark navy blue suit & is sitting in a gold & green striped Queen Anne style arm chair. One hand lies on top of the other, both in his lap. He wears a red necktie & white shirt with a serious but friendly expression on his face. Gold painted wood frame. Canvas stretched over 4 wood stretchers with a central horizontal support that has 2 plastic brackets to hold it in place. (Note: As of 11/15/2002 the right or proper left plastic bracket is unstapled & slides freely. It should be stapled.) 2 metal brackets on each side of frame hold stretched canvas to frame with 1 screw each. 1 3-screw steel picture hangers on each side at 45 degree angle with 1 thick braided picture wire. 2 black plastic keys in each corner of stretcher. Red bole coloring sprayed on back of frame. (Clay & glue binder.)
