Medal, commemorative. The Osmanie, an order conferred upon General Loring by the Khedive of Egypt. The characters read "Son of the heavenly outpourings, Abdul-Aziz Khan, King of the Ottoman Empire." On the reverse side are flags and drums and the date "699." This decoration is star shaped, 2 1/2 inches in diameter, of solid silver and gold.
