Creator:
Mystique Krewe of Ka-noo-no

Content Description:

The Mystique Krewe of Ka-noo-no was organized by the Syracuse Chamber of Commerce, to give a Karnival each fall during State Fair week. The State Fair, previous to 1904, had not been successful and it was felt by the businessmen that unless something was done to increase the attendance, it would cease to exist in Syracuse. In 1904 it was decided to give three evenings of entertainment, in order to entertain visitors to the State Fair and attract more strangers to the city. The first evening was given over to a civic and military parage, the second to an automobile parade, and the third to a fireworks display.
