This is a small onyx and gold cross. Each end is capped with tooled gold in a scalloped design with a small ball at each end. There is a gold loop at the top for hanging on a chain. Only the front sides of the gold caps are tooled. The sides and backs are plain. 1 1/4"L x 3/4"W. This is in excellent condition; the loop at top is slightly discolored. Circa 1880. Matching chain is 1992.013. Belonged to Mary Sophia Alexander, born 1831, died 1916. Daughter of Moses Winslow Alexander and Violet Wilson Graham Alexander.
