Philatelic Cover - 100th Aniversary U.S. Postal Mail Car Mark Twain Hotel business letter envelope. Logo and return address in upper left corner. Lower left corner has cachet commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the 1st railroad mail car of Hannibal & St. Joseph Railroad. Address typed at center. Upper right corner has stamps: One blue with etching of horse drawn car, early steam locomotive, modern diesel locomotive in an even headed race from the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad; Below are two orange half cent stamps with profile of Ben Franklin. Cancelled. On back is illust. of Mark Twain Hotel at bottom center, on center of flap is oval picture of Twain. Inside is blue index card for support (removed). Cancel on the front reads 'Centennial 1st U.S. Mail sorted in transit 1862-1962'.
