Philatelic Cover - 100th Aniversary U.S. Postal Mail Car Mark Twain Hotel business letter envelope. Logo and return address in upper left corner. Lower left corner has cachet commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the 1st railroad mail car on the Hannibal & St. Joseph Railroad. Address typed at center. Upper right corner has stamps: Purple 3 cent stamp commemorating completion of the first transcontinental U.S. railroad; Below is green 1 cent stamp of George Washington. On back is illust. of Mark Twain Hotel at bottom center, on center of flap is oval picture of Twain. Inside is blue index card for support (removed). Cancel on the front reads 'Centennial 1st U.S. Mail sorted in transit 1862-1962'. Postmarked Hannibal July 28, 1962.
