Blue feathered plume from a Confederate uniform hat, in a shadowbox frame with glass. (Frame removed and returned to donor) Object consists of white feathers with shafts bound to a wire framework to form a cylindrical plume with feathers pointing downward. Feathers at the top of the plume are a medium, rather faded blue, with one darker feather. Late19th century.
