Content Description: 

A "pocket rifle" intended to be shot from a rest; plain walnut grips screwed to an iron frame, which is covered with crude engraving; upper left flat of octagon section stamped "BACON & CO./NORWICH, CONN."; left flat barrel stamped "CAST STEEL"; serial # 52 appears on bottom flat; frame is cast; solid plain workmanship, no effort at finishing gun; hardly any traces of finish left; front and rear sights intact.

Physical Description: 

Iron/steel, walnut. Length - 10 1/8"; Half octagon barrellength - 6 3/16"; About .34 calibre.
