Content Description: 

Militia powder horn. Surface is unembellished and scraped smooth. A single carved ring near spout. Carrying cord is missing. Evidence of an inset pine butt plug where wire loop for carrying cord was attached. Pine butt plug is slightly domed and is carved with initials "R.M." and date "1814." Butt plug is fastened with wooden pins.
