Content Description:
Chair, Hall. Or Side Chair. Hexagonal seat with woven & colored rattan or cane as seat material. Back has large open work symmetrical scroll & loop designs. Top half of back has large 6-lobed pandanus panel with weaving & coloring to match seat. Natural finish throughout except the colored red & green striped rattan strips. Braid work surrounds both seat & back panels. Cabriole shaped front legs with brass feet. Curving back legs rise to form stiles. Stiles have vertical brace on each stile which is wrapped together with leg at bottom & top of stile at top. X stretcher joins legs. This chair is of a type that could have been used as a photographer's studio prop.
