Etching titled "Robinson Crusoe and His Family at His Farm in Bedford Shire" by an unknown English artist, illustrating "Robinson Crusoe" by Daniel Defoe. Etching depicts Crusoe surrounded by his wife, children, and a servant, with a child playing on an overturned chair in the foreground, a dovecote or birdhouse to one side, and a worker farming in the background. Underneath the image is printed "Printed for and sold by Carington Bowles," "Published as the Act directs 18 Jan. 1783," and " No. 69 in St. Paul's Churchyard, London." The caption reads "My thoughts were entirely taken up in managing my servants, cultivating the Ground, inclosing, planting, &c" &c."
