This firearm has all the distinguishing features of the Smith & Wesson Second Model Single Shot Pistol, but it is outside the serial range (1-4617) for the model. It also has patent dates on the barrel which Flayderman asserts the Second Model does not have. Some of this model used by U.S. Olympic Team between 1905 and 1910. Bright metal trigger, trigger guard and hammer.
