Desk. Or Bench, Secretary of Senate. Oak and Oak Veneer long rectangular desk with single row of four side or side drawers, ca. 2 1/2" high behind desk top. Drawers are cherry wood sides (an Ohmer characteristic). Piece rests on base molding along front and two sides; open in back with central panel as support. Decoration on front consists of corners of square Victorian Doric pilasters; between them are four half columns in the ionic order and a central medallion of crossed quill pens.
