Two specimens tagged (a) and (b). (a) A coiled sweet grass basket has a palmetto fiber circular base. The coiled grass rises from the base, sewn in circular rows with colored thread in a Y pattern. The basket has two C-shaped handles at the sides. (b) The basket lid is made of sweet grass in the same pattern and has a handle at the center made of sweet grass, wrapped with pale yellow thread, sewn to lid with pink thread.
