Content Description: 

A Seminole Indian sweet grass basket and top made for tourist trade, tagged (a) and (b) respectively. Both are made with sweet grass bundles sewn together with colored thread. The bottom of the basket consists of palmetto fiber, rounded to 4 inches in diameter. There is a 17 1/2 inches long deerskin handle sewn on the basket. The top has a strip of rush sewn vertically to the 2nd bundle from the edge to hold the top firmly on the basket. See worksheet for a detailed description.
