Content Description: 

Basket. A large, round basket with lid made of grass bundles bound together in horizontal rows of different colored string. The binding and stitches form multicolored vertical rows. Top slopes inward. Center of bottom is palm fiber. The lid is made in same construction as the basket. The center of the lid has a disc of palm fiber which is used for mounting the Seminole doll head. Made to resemble a Seminole woman's hairdo. For more detail, see worksheet.
