Painted and grained sewing (work) table having hinged canted rectangular top with various wood panels, some painted to resemble exotic wood, straight tapered legs joined by an X-form stretcher, and a gold satin work bag. Inscription inside top reads: "From a Work Table to its Mistress/ Not be be gaz'd on merely, am I meant/ I for use, and you for ornament."
