Content Description:
Chair. Early 19th century. Arched crest rail centering a vase shaped splat with a carved urn in the middle. Shaped stiles, squared tapered legs joined by "H" stretcher. Handwritten note on FSM card states that this chair is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the early 1800s. Another handwritten note calls it a Duncan Phyfe Chair from New York. The chair was badly broken when received with parts gone. It was repaired in the Museum.
