Stamp reads 'FIRST DAY OF ISSUE' and is dated Feb 13, 1940. Left side of cover front is purple cachet with image in lower left corner of Boyhood Home. Center of top is image of Twain, has other information about commemoration. I F.96.30826.3b Written on front: 'Mr. Geo. W. Lolkes. 421 Bird st. Hannibal, Mo.'
