Silver teapot by William G. Forbes, New York, in oval form, the body having chased zig-zag border above convex band with chased intertwined swags around bright-cut cornucopia reserve enclosing monogram "BMH," reverse with date "1780." Swan's-neck spout and wood handle. Stands on spreading rim foot. Underside bears maker's mark of "Forbes" in rectangle, with an eagle's head and the letter "C." See "relations." Has a tea infuser (M32.155.2) attached to spout.
