Content Description: 

Oval, urn-shaped American silver teapot by C.A. Burnett, Georgetown, Washington, D.C./ Maryland and Alexandria, VA. Teapot has gadrooned molded bands at shoulder and rim, cover with an urn-shaped finial, fruitwood handle carved at crest, and S-curve pouring spout with leaf decoration, standing on a moulded and splayed foot. One side bears oval cartouche with swag enclosing partially removed inscription reading "... May 16th 1810." Marked "C. A. Burnett" with pseudo-hallmark of eagle head.
