Drawing. A Pen and Ink Drawing illustrating a folk tale from Uncle Monday and Other Florida Tales entitled, The St. Andrews Bay Legends-A Calico Ghost V. Shows a Seminole Indian dressed in a calico tunic, moccasins, leggings and partial turban on head. Wearing cloth garters decorated with feathers, tied just below knees, and a leather case on a rope tied around his waist. Sashes crossed on chest. Strolling on a beach with a forked stick in hand. Illustrates an early encounter between Native Americans and a white settler near Panama City, FL.
