Drawing. A Pen and Ink Drawing illustrating a Spanish Folk Tale called, the Turkey Maiden, told in Ybor City, FL in the 1930s. It is a full page illustration in black pen on heavy white paper. This is the tale of Rosa, a widower's daughter. She leaves home with four magic nuts? and works in a palace, caring for turkeys. Prince falls ill, Rosa wears a magic dress and cures the prince. Drawing shows the maiden dancing before the castle, surrounded by dancing turkeys and a friendly dwarf. She is wearing a flowery dress and ballet shoes with laces crisscrossed around her calves.
