Mahogany pointed bag shaped grip, a chip in upper left corner glued back. Top flat of barrel is stamped "E. HUTCHINGS & CO./AGENTS BALTO". Left flat stamped "CAST STEEL"; bottom carries serial # 136. Top strap is stamped in 2 lines "QUINABAUG RFLE MG. CO./SOUTHBRIDGE, MASS.", with floral engraving and spread eagle. Rather large size gun; stock seems to be original in spite of its unusual wood.
