Curly maple bag shaped grip--unusual because it is not pointed and has only a short top and bottom tang coming from the action rather than the usual brass strip all around; left flat of barrel is stamped "E. PUTNEY/SOUTHBRIDGE, MASS."; no other stamping on gun except for floral engraving on top strap; frame is entirely of steel; entire gun is considerably worn, and no trace of original finish appears.

Iron/steel, figured maple. Length - 11 15/16"; Half octagon barrel length - 8 1/16"; Octagon section length - 2 5/8"; About .30 caliber.
