Liberty card issued to SM1c Elmo Wilson Brown from USS Constellation (No. 108). The card is encased in ridged plastic sleave which is stapled on the left and right-hand sides. The front of the card is a standard form on which the ships name and number, the authorized person's name and rank, and the authorizing person's name and rank have been typed. The card was authorized by Lieut (jg) John F. Shea, USN (Ret'd) whose stamped signature appears on the front of the card. The back of the card contains a signature field with Elmo Wilson Brown's signature, a date of birth filed with the date "Jan. 3, 1909", and left and right forefinger prints. Both fingerprints are badly faded, with the left print barely visible.
